Fantasy teams are not just made in the draft. Sometimes a team can make a trade that puts his team over the top. Making a trade in a Yahoo! fantasy league is easy to do within the Yahoo! fantasy interface.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Select "Propose Trade" on your main league page. Choose the team you would like to trade with and the player or players you would like to acquire from that team.

  2. Step 2

Choose the player or players from your team you would like to offer the other team in exchange for his players. Select the player or players from your team you intend to drop if the trade goes through if you are set to acquire more players than you are to give up. Submit the trade and wait for a response from the other owner.

  3. Step 3

Review the trade if you are the owner of a team receiving a trade proposal from another team. You may choose to accept the trade, reject it, or make a counter-offer. Choose your desired option on the trade proposal page, adding a message to the other team if you want.

  4. Step 4

Wait as the league reviews the trade if both sides agree to the trade. Depending on your league settings, it may require and objection by a certain number of managers to veto the trade. In a Yahoo! fantasy league, the default is one-third of the league.

  5. Step 5

Insert the newly acquired players into your lineup once the waiting period is over.

Tips & Warnings
  • Most Yahoo! fantasy leagues have a trading deadline--the last date that a trade can be proposed and accepted. Look under your league settings to see what date the commissioner has set as the trading deadline.
