Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Realize your beliefs in order to search out a church that supports those beliefs. There are many denominations to choose from.
Step2
Talk to friends and family who are Christian and ask them where they attend. Look in the phone book for church listings and research the churches that interest you on the internet.
Step3
Visit a church by attending a Sunday service. This is the only way to truly know if you feel comfortable at the church and with the pastor of the church. Usually, if the church is a good fit with your lifestyle, you'll know right away. If you have questions about the church, you can talk to the pastor, minister, priest, reverend or someone else involved in the church.
Step4
Understand that Christian church membership procedures vary from church to church. Some churches only require you to give your name and address to become members. Other churches offer seminars and classes before you can become a member, in order to familiarize you with the church and the beliefs it is built upon. Talk to the staff of the church you'd like to join for specific information.
Step5
Involve yourself in the church once you join and partake in ministry opportunities. Christian churches offer many different ways for people to give back to the community through music, public outreach, church maintenance and other areas of ministry.
