Step1
Remove the window screen from its frame.
Step2
Lay the screen on the ground and brush the webs off with a broom. If your window screen is rust-proof, hose it down with water to completely clean the screen's surface. Wipe the frame clean. You may also hose the frame down if you find it necessary.
Step3
Buy a special solution from a grocery or hardware store that deters spiders and their webs from sticking to surfaces.
Step4
Make any necessary repairs to your window screen and frame. Repairing windows and screens can help prevent unwanted spiders from entering your home. Caulking and weatherproofing windows may also help to keep spiders out.
Step5
Apply the solution to the window screen and around the window frame. Pay special attention to crevices in the window screen and frame.
Step6
Replace the window screen into its frame.
Step7
Install yellow bulbs in light fixtures above or around your windows. The light from yellow bulbs helps deter the types of insects that spiders eat.
Step8
Clean window screens and frames every few months. Be sure to spray them with the solution again.
