Step1
Talk to your pastor. Church pastors and priests often subscribe to publications about the Christian world and will have some to suggest to you. This could include all types of media and Christian resources. Ask him if he knows of any Christian self-help books that are highly recommended.
Step2
Visit a Christian website. Many of them list books and other media that help you through life situations and difficulties. One good one to check out is the site of Christian author Reneau Peurifoy. There is a list of 25 different self-help books from a Christian perspective. James Dobson's Focus on the Family organization also is a strong resource for both his books and others within the Christian publishing world.
Step3
Check on Amazon. Amazon is such a huge resource of books and their Christian selection is no different. A simple search for Christian self-help books will yield a great variety to choose from that you can order 24/7.
Step4
Stop by your local bookstore. All major bookstore chains and even most independent bookstores have a growing Christian section with many books to choose from. Or check out the specifically Christian bookstore in your town. Go with a book title in mind and ask the associate or browse their selection to find the one that's right for you.
