Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Visit a hardware or grocery store. Buy a special solution designed to deter spider web formation. Ask a sales associate about products that are safe to use indoors.
Step3
Take some duct tape and wrap the middle of the broom with it. Make sure to keep the sticky side pointing outwards and leave the top of the bristles exposed. The goal is to create a sticky area on the bristles' sides where the spider webs will adhere while you are sweeping with the bristles.
Step4
Lift the broom up and gently sweep the broom across the ceiling. Take spider webs with the top bristles. Use the duct tape to bring down stubborn spider webs. The duct tape also helps bring down spider webs that are not clearly visible to you.
Step5
Remove spider webs behind lighting fixtures and ceiling fans. You may want to stand on a chair if your ceiling is especially high and if you are concerned about precision. You can use a damp cloth moistened with the spider web deterrent solution.
Step6
Spray the solution on and around areas where you see spider webs usually form.
Step7
Clean the broom. Carefully remove the duct tape and dispose of it along with any dampened cloths. Spray a cleaning solution onto the broom's bristles to sanitize the broom for future use.
