If you are worried about wrinkles or skin imperfections, then a chemical face peel is the perfect solution to your skin problem. But before you run off to make an appointment at your local spa or doctor's office, read the information below to choose the correct chemical peel for your skin type and needs.

    Research Chemical Peels

  1. Step 1

    Go to the Mamas Health website. (See Resources.) Scroll down the left menu to the ¨Skin Conditions¨ link and click. Scroll down the left menu again and choose ¨Skincare Information¨ under the ¨Links¨ heading at the bottom of the page. Finally, scroll down the left menu once more and click on ¨Chemical Peels.¨

  2. Step 2

    Read the entire page and bookmark for future reference.

  3. Step 3

    Visit the Ienhance website before scheduling an appointment for a chemical face peel. (See Resources.)

  4. Step 4

    Scroll down the right side menu and click on ¨Chemical Peel¨ under the ¨Top Minimally-Invasive Procedures of 2006¨ heading.

  5. Step 5

    Read all pertaining information by clicking on each link. Pay special attention to the ¨Risk and Limitation¨ information and to the ¨Questions to Ask Your Doctor.¨ Read and print out information.

  6. Step 6

    View before and after pictures by selecting the ¨Chemical Peel Photo Gallery¨ link.

  7. Choose a Chemical Peel

  8. Step 1

    Decide which chemical peel is best for you after reviewing the information and reading about the 3 different types of chemical face peels available. Click on the ¨Back¨ button on your browser to return to the previous page.

    Contact a doctor or center by pressing the ¨Contact a doctor in your area¨ button.

  10. Step 3

    Scroll down the options to ¨Chemical Peel¨ under the ¨Dermatology¨ heading and select the state name to view a list of doctors in your area. Or, if you prefer, search the yellow pages for a dermatologist or plastic surgeon in your area.
