Aces and Kings solitaire is a challenging, foundation-building game. With several piles to work from to build on the aces and kings, there are many possibilities for strategic card placement, making Aces and Kings a good solitaire game for novice and advanced players alike.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Shuffle 2 standard decks of cards, minus the jokers. Deal 2 piles of 13 cards each face up on the table. These are the "reserve" piles.

  2. Step 2

Check to see if either of the top cards is an ace or king. The object of the game is to begin foundations with aces and kings and build up from the aces and down from the kings, regardless of suit. If you have an ace or king showing, play it. Continue to play cards until you have no moves.

  3. Step 3

Turn over one card from the remaining the deck. Play it on the foundations if you can. If not, you have 2 options: leave it in the "waste" pile or set it 1 of 4 available storage slots. Cards from the storage slots can be played at any time, while a card in the waste pile can only be played when it is the top card.

  4. Step 4

Continue turning over cards and playing cards from the waste pile, storage slots and reserve piles as moves become available. There is no re-deal in Aces and Kings solitaire.

  5. Step 5

Move cards across the foundations if it will help you build in certain directions. This move is allowed in Aces and Kings solitaire and can end up being a good way to continue play if you seem to be out of moves.

  6. Step 6

Win the game by getting all 104 cards onto the 8 foundation piles.
