Many people want to become a race official with a prestigious racing organization such as the ASCS Sprint Car Series. You can attend the races for free and have a close up view of the action. Your career is on the fast track and provides much excitement as a race official. Follow these steps to learn how to become a race official with the ASCS Sprint Car Series.

  1. Step 1

    Learn the basics of ASCS Sprint Car Series racing. You can do this by attending the races and volunteering at the track. Ask the race official that is present if you can have a moment of his time to ask him some questions about how he became a race official.

  2. Step 2

  3. Step 3

    Read and understand the ASCS Sprint Car Series rule book. You will be held accountable for all of this information. You can find it online at SSPRacing.net.

  4. Step 4

    Create a resume. Include your education in car mechanics and any volunteer experience you may have been able to gain at the race track.

  5. Step 5

    Call the ASCS to learn of any race official positions they may have available at any of the tracks. You can reach them at (918) 838-3777.

  6. Step 6

    Interview with the hiring manager of ASCS for the race official job. Make sure to dress in business attire and carry yourself in a professional manner. Bring proof of any experience or education you may have claimed on your resume.
