Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Go to a CASCAR race and see the various roles that people play and the types of positions that are available. There are three types of jobs in this industry; racing-dedicated, business and manufacturing.
Step2
Learn the official rules that govern all NASCAR events, as they are the same for CASCAR. You can find books online, at the bookstore or library, or you can visit NASCAR's offical website.
Step3
Go to the local racing track and volunteer to help run the races held each weekend. Additional hands are always appreciated and the more experience you gain, the more contacts you will make.
Step4
Attend as many racing events as you can. Make yourself known as a knowledgeable, helpful person. Build a reputation, but remember to prepare first and ensure all your information is correct.
Step5
Prepare your resume. Focus on your track level experience, as well as overall management and technical skills developed off the track. This is a job just like any other, and you need to sell yourself and your skills to land the interview.
Step6
Distribute your resume to local tracks and racing teams. Although they may not have a race official position available, they may have an intermediate position to help you gain the skills needed to make the next step.
