Robot batteries are an essential part of any robot enthusiast's equipment. Without the battery, there is no robot.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Know your robot. It is important to know the information about your robot to find the correct battery. A model number should be sufficient. Many robots operate off the same size batteries, making the batteries fairly universal.

  2. Step 2

Check your local hobby store. Make friends with the store owner for future discounts, closeouts and information about upcoming sales. He may also have information about upcoming robot events.

  3. Step 3

Shop online. Browse electronics and robot company websites, like Calibex or Geeks, to find great deals and a wide selection. You will also get a warranty when shopping new. Remember to figure in shipping when comparing local and online prices.

  4. Step 4

Shop community selling sites. Check out Craigslist, eBay or other member listing services. This is a great way to find great deals in your local area or for lower shipping costs than most company shipping prices.
