Hula hoop fitness is a new craze developed from an old classic. The hula hoop has been popular for decades and is now making a comeback in weighted form for exercise classes. Use these tips to learn more about hula hoop exercise classes, where you can attend one and where to get weighted hula hoops to continue your workout at home.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Check with your local gym or fitness center to see if they are currently or are planning to be offering hula hoop exercise classes. If they don't have anything scheduled yet, check with the local community college or university. Most fitness classes are offered to the public as well as students so colleges are more likely to have a variety of exercise class choices.
Step2
a fitness company centered around hula hoop exercise. They offer classes, DVDs and hoop parties for fitness fun in the comfort of your own home. Since they are located in Ojai, California, and are not specific about their expandability of services, you should contact them for information for classes, parties or performances in your area.
Step3
Have a hoop party. This can be as formal as bringing in hula hoop professionals like BodyHoops (see Resources below) to host and instruct the party for you, or as simple as a bunch of friends with hoops and a DVD. It is a fun way to learning hula hoop fitness moves in the comfort of your own environment.
Step4
Hoop at home. Heavy hoops at a reasonable price are available from a number of fitness companies, such as Shape Up Shop (see Resources below). \

on 11/8/2007 One of the best ways to find a hula hoop fitness class near you is to do an online search. Type in hula hoop and the city that you live in. Or you can email a hula hoop instructor that you find and ask if they know someone close to you as the hula hoop teaching community is quite small. It's a fabulous form of exercise and I cannot recommend it any higher! hulahoopfitness.com
