Las Vegas, that unlikely mega-resort destination in the middle of the desert, is a romantic place to spend a honeymoon. No longer all about gambling, Vegas offers something for every taste and interest. What's more, many attractions and activities are surprisingly affordable.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Splurge on a suite. The hotels along the Las Vegas Strip offer some of the most lavish suites in the world. Unlike most city hotels that might offer one or two suites, the typical Las Vegas hotel offers dozens in a variety of sizes and prices. Splurge a little and get such amenities as a Jacuzzi tub, a wet bar, a dining area and perhaps a spectacular view of the Strip.

  2. Step 2

Attend a show. Las Vegas is the live entertainment capital of the United States. See world-famous singers, comedians and bands perform, or opt for one of the elaborate reviews, such as "Cirque de Soleil."

  3. Step 3

Enjoy the free entertainment. Not everything in Las Vegas has to be expensive. Some of the most romantic things are free, such as viewing the Bellagio Fountains dance to the music or walking hand-in-hand down the Strip to look at the lights.

  4. Step 4

Take a gondola ride at the Venetian. Almost as romantic as Venice, the Venetian resort offers gondola rides along its man-made canals. It's not free, but it's less expensive than the same experience in Italy. And what a way to celebrate your honeymoon; you'll even be serenaded in Italian by the gondolier.

  5. Step 5

Tour the Ethel M Chocolate Factory. Take a ride just outside of Las Vegas to Henderson to visit the Ethel M gourmet chocolate factory. See how the delightful goodies are made and sample a few at the end of the tour. It's all free.
