Instructions

    • 1

Sign in to FastWeb by using your email address and password. Click the button for new users if you're visiting the website for the first time. If you're new, sign up by using an email address and creating a password. You'll also have to answer questions such as what you're searching for, your current school year and your birth date.

    • 2

Complete the FastWeb questionnaire to create a profile. Or if you're a returning user, go to your personal page after signing in. Click on the link at the top of the page for "Jobs & Internships," or click the "Internships" link on the left of your page. A number will appear next to that link which represents your total internship matches based on your profile.

    • 3

Go to the opportunities list on the next page after you've clicked on one of the links above. This list will include internships and part-time job openings. Click the link for an internship on the list to read more information.

    • 4

Read more about the internship of your choice on the next page. The page will feature a description, a link to the employer's or sponsor's website and the majors that are closely related to the internship. Information about application deadlines is also included. Pick "Go There" or the company link to visit the program's website, hit "Favorite" to save the listing or select "Discard" if the internship doesn't suit your needs.

    • 5

Study the general requirements and benefits of the internship once you get to the website, and follow the instructions to apply for the program. Application steps may vary depending on the program, but you will likely need to fill out an application and send it along with a resume, references and school transcripts. Internship application packages are usually sent by mail, email or fax, but check with the program's mailing procedures first. Double-check the program's deadline to ensure that you are meeting it in order to be considered for the internship.
