How to Expand a Sim's Wardrobe in Sims 2

Don't like the clothes your Sim came with when he transitioned to a new age? Don't worry--he's not stuck in those awful duds. There are many ways to expand your Sim's wardrobe so he can not only find something more his style, but he can get some variety into his clothing and wear different things each day.

Instructions

1. Go to a community lot and buy more clothes for your Sim. You can purchase everyday clothes, formal wear and pajamas. A Sim can also purchase clothes for another Sim. Click to change the gender and age when shopping for clothes if you want your Sim to purchase the clothes for another Sim in her household.

2. Have your Sim wear his work clothes. When a Sim gets a special outfit for his job, he gets to keep the clothes--even if he gets promoted and has to wear a different outfit to work each day.

3. Ask a friend of the same gender and age group to move in. If a Sim of the same gender and age group of your Sim moves into the household, your Sim is able to wear all the clothes in the other Sim's wardrobe, and vice versa.

4. Purchase Sims 2 expansion packs and stuff packs to get more wardrobe options. Each expansion pack and stuff pack come with new outfits for all genders and age groups, are available for purchase at community lots or can be acquired through career advancement.

Tips & Warnings

• Clothes can cost quite a bit of money, so be sure you budget wisely for new clothes and don't make your Sim starve for the privilege of having that new evening gown.
