How to Sell Anything to Anyone

At some time or another we all have occasion to sell something, be it a product, a concept or just your point of view. In essence, the art of selling is nothing more than the art of persuasion, and you can use selling skills to persuade people to do almost anything.

1. Establish trust in the relationship. In order to sell anything to anyone, trust is the first and most important step. Make eye contact with the person you're trying to sell to. It doesn't matter if you are selling washing machines, houses or a plan for a family vacation. Look your customer in the eye as you talk.

2. Show the person the value in what you are selling. Show him how it will improve his life. Tell her the specifics about what it will do for her. Make them think that they just can't live without it in order to sell anything to anyone.

3. Teach the value of change. Sometimes people resist a sale because they don't like change. Tell him that moving to a higher level in life always requires some kind of change. Show her that reaching goals provides fulfillment and what you're selling will help her reach a goal.

4. Be well prepared and think positively. Plan exactly what you will say when you start to sell anything to anyone. Write down the positive aspects of what you're selling so that you won't forget any point.

5. Relax and be yourself. Don't deliver a "canned speech." Talk openly and honestly when you sell anything to anyone. Give the buyer a chance to ask questions and be prepared with good answers.
