Find a 1959 Ford Galaxie to restore; looking on craigslist, eBay or specialized classic car sites for cars in your area is a good idea. Try to find a car that runs. It will make the restoration much simpler.

Try creating a workspace about twice as big as the car. You will need to access the car from all angles so leave plenty of room on the outside for access during the restoration.

Begin the tear down by removing the vehicle's interior, make note of any damaged parts that went unnoticed before. Clean off all the rust and dirt from the vehicle's component's surfaces.
