Networking is the best way to find information about Hapkido tournaments in your area. Attend classes at a school that teaches Hapkido. Actively participate in a local organization that practices and promotes the study of this martial art to find out about upcoming tournaments and events geared toward Hapkido. If you cannot find a local group to join, try joining regional or national organizations to stay current on upcoming events.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Join the Hapkido World Association by clicking the "Join Now" button located on the association's home page (see Resources). There is a small annual membership fee required to join this organization, however your membership gives you access to the World Hapkido newsletter and other information that alerts you of seminars, workshops, tournaments and other current events.

Visit the American Hapkido Federation's website. Join the American Hapkido Federation's mailing list to be notified by emails of events sponsored by the Federation.

  3. Step 3

A school that is a member of one of these organizations has information about upcoming events or tournaments sponsored by their organizations.

  4. Step 4

Subscribe to publications such as The Martial Artist and Hapkido Magazine. These publications are dedicated to promoting Hapkido and contain resources including tournament information to those who are interested.
