Step1
Send Super Bowl party invitations. First decide if you'll only be inviting those that support your favorite team. Make your own football shaped invitations and let guests know if they should bring a dish and if children are welcome. Order team invitations online and personalize them to save time or if your not the creative type.
Step2
Get party goods. Buy as much in bulk as possible to cut costs. Check local party shops for neat ideas. Purchase plates, cups, napkins, streamers, bowls and cutlery in your favorite teams colors. Use the theme to carry through on the tablecloths and other decorations.
Step3
Make a banner. Design a banner for your team make it bright and bold. Create posters all around the room and signs to root your team on.
Step4
Get door prizes and raffle tickets. Have guests donate a designated amount towards the prizes. Put together a basket of items for a giveaway. Give bobblehead dolls, football mugs and a team blanket. Sell raffle tickets to win.
Step5
Buy food. Make a list and have friends bring a dish or two. Serve hot wings, quesadillas, white chilli and spicy cornbread. Pour popcorn inside of a lined football helmet. Serve shots of gatorade for the non drinkers and a fresh bowl of punch. Keep food on warming plates.
Step6
Pull out the party favors. Blow whistlers, mini megaphones and noise makers. Place football trivia games out for half time and make a word find game out of the words "Super Bowl." Give a prize to the person with the most words in two minutes.
Step7
Get ready to party. The host should wear a referee shirt and if you can't find one use a plain white T-shirt and draw or paint black lines. Be sure to wear black pants and shoes and place a whistle around your neck. Have everyone else come in a football jersey to go with the theme of the party. Have a football pool.
