The experts keep proclaiming chocolate is good for us. But its benefits are realized only if eaten in moderation--except on Valentine's Day. It's the one special occasion where a naughty food turns into the perfect love food. From breakfast to bedtime and anytime in between, there's always a way to incorporate chocolate in the Valentine's Day menu.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Make mini chocolate chip pancakes for a funny Valentine kind of breakfast with 4 cups flour, 2 tablespoon white sugar, 1 cup milk, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, 1 egg and 1 cup chocolate chips. Lightly grease then preheat a griddle on medium heat. Combine flour and sugar, add milk, oil and egg and mix thoroughly with a wire whisk, then stir in the chocolate chips. Pour the batter onto the griddle by tablespoonfuls and cook both sides until golden brown.

  2. Step 2

Take a heart to heart lunch break with your special someone and share a slice of s'mores pizza, made of 1-16 ½ ounce package of refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough, two cups chocolate chips, 2 cups graham crackers and 2 cups miniature marshmallows. Mix ingredients together and spread onto a lightly greased pizza pan and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes until dough begins to brown slightly. Remove from oven and sprinkle the top with the chocolate chips, graham crackers and marshmallows and return to the oven for 5-8 minutes until crust is brown and chips and marshmallows are melted. Allow to cool slightly before serving and splash the top with a bit of chocolate syrup, if desired.

  3. Step 3

Enjoy an intimate dinner for two with your favorite entrée, side dishes and drinks. Crown the event with a fabulous and quick Oreo dessert pie, made with 3 1/2 slightly-thawed cups of frozen non-dairy whipped topping, 1 regular-size chocolate candy bar, broken into pieces, and 1 package Oreo crumb pie shell. Microwave the mixture on high for 1 minute, stir until smooth, fold the chocolate into the whipped topping, spoon into the pie crust and refrigerate until firm.

  4. Step 4

Tantalize each other after dinner in between sips of chocolate wine. While you could make it yourself, that would keep you in a hot kitchen and who needs that. There are online sources where you can purchase chocolate orange wine or chocolate wine and liqueurs.
