Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Make a point of watching several arm wrestling matches with two evenly matched and experienced opponents. Your apprenticeship is best begun as a spectator not as a participant.

  2. Step 2

Ask an experienced arm wrestler if they are willing to talk with you about the fundamentals of arm wrestling technique. If you want to be perfect you will first need to begin with a solid foundation.

  3. Step 3

Practice with another serious arm wrestler. There is no substitute for this type of one on one training in your quest to perfect arm wrestling moves.

  4. Step 4

Go to the gym and work on your upper body development, paying particular attention to work on your shoulders, biceps and triceps. Having the muscle to backup your techniques can make a huge difference.

  5. Step 5

Work with a squeeze ball to increase your forearm strength. Being strong here provides you with a superior grip and allows you to manipulate your opponent's leverage.

  6. Step 6

Protect your arms from damage or injury between arm wrestling matches. It is impossible to practice perfect technique if you are suffering from serious physical discomfort.
