How to Improve Sudoku Skills

Sudoku has taken the world by storm. Every where you turn people are playing this strategic and sometimes quite challenging game. There are many online sites dedicated to the Sudoku game. There are complete books dedicated to it and there is even a section of the newspaper that includes Sodoku. Take some time and work to improve your chances of solving these puzzles.

Instructions

1. Be confident, you can master Sudoku puzzles. Part of the fun is the fact that this is a challenging game. Be prepared to walk away at times from the puzzle you are working on.

2. Start with the easy puzzles. There is no use in setting yourself up for failure right from the beginning. Even the easy puzzles have their frustrating moments.

3. Scan the board looking for possible solutions. This should be done from the first box you fill in until the last one.

4. Count using the last numeral that you discovered. This method is a little harder but can help you improve your skills.

5. Mark possible answers in the corners of the boxes where you are still missing answers. This will give you clues to which numbers have been used and which ones have not.

6. Practice doing more and more puzzles. The more you do the better you will become at solving them.

7. Ask for help before you give up. There is no shame in doing this. A fresh eye may see something you missed, and guide you without giving away the answer completely.
