Whether you need to replace lost money from a board game or want to make a silly gift for a friend, making play money is quick and easy to do. But instead of making traditional style dollar bills similar to the real thing, try making some of this crazy funny money. It will bring a smile to whoever sees it and you'll have fun making it too.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Photographs
  • Photo editing software
  • Computer and printer
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  1. Step 1

Find pictures of yourself or the person you're making the money for and load them into your computer. You can load directly from a digital camera or scan the photograph in.

  2. Step 2

Use the photo software on your computer to crop the picture. Eliminate the background so you have just a head shot left of the person you want to put on the play money.

  3. Step 3

Start a blank project on your computer using a photo or word processing program. Draw two rectangles on the page that's the size you want your play money to be. Be sure they're the exact same size as one will be the front of your bill and the other will be the back.

  4. Step 4

Insert the picture in the center of one of the rectangles and add a number in each corner to indicate the denomination of the bill. Over the picture, type in the name of the bill and reference the person in the picture. In other words, call it a "Jimmy Bill" or "Barbra Buck".

  5. Step 5

Add a different picture to the second rectangle shape which will make up the back side of the money. Use a group shot if it includes the person on the front or use a picture of your house in place of the governmental buildings on the backs of some real dollar bills.

  6. Step 6

Print the page and cut out the two designs. Glue them back to back to make the dollar bill.
