There are two schools of thought when it comes to ironing. On the one hand, there's the select few that view ironing as therapeutic. On the other hand, there's the rest of society who would rather avoid the task. For those among the latter group, here's how to spend less time ironing.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Wear spandex or clothes with spandex in them. The easiest way to spend less time ironing is to wear clothes made out of materials that don't require ironing. When shopping for jeans, read the labels. Look for jeans made from materials containing spandex or a spandex blend. Because of its stretch quality, clothes containing spandex don't require much ironing.

  2. Step 2

Remove clothes from the dryer immediately. The largest culprit for wrinkled clothes are letting them sit too long in the dryer. If you want to spend less time ironing, make sure you remove your clothes, especially denim jeans, from the dryer before they cool off.

  3. Step 3

Send your clothes to the dry cleaner. A surefire way to spend less time ironing is to have someone else do it for you. If you want to spend a few extra dollars, send your clothes to the dry cleaner. They come back pressed and sharp.

  4. Step 4

Hang your clothes in the bathroom while you take a shower. This trick is a favorite for frequent travelers. No matter how short your trip, clothes always seem to be wrinkled when you unpack your suitcase. Rather than iron them, hang them up in the bathroom when you take a shower. The steam from the hot shower removes the wrinkles.
