How to Use a Concession Stand Hot Dog Cooker

Hot dogs are a favorite treat at fairs, sporting events and other activities. There are several different types of hot dog cookers that cook numerous hot dogs simultaneously and allow you to feed many customers quickly.

Instructions

1. Operate the roller hot dog cooker with the On/Off switch. This turns on the rollers, with or without heat. Two dials on the front of the machine control the heat of the rollers. One dial is for the cooker's front rollers and one is for the back rollers. Turn the dials counter-clockwise to regulate the heat of the rollers.

2. Add enough hot water to the heating compartment of a hot dog steamer to cover the heating element. Using hot water saves cooking time. Place hot dogs in the small compartment and arrange the buns in the racks. Keep enough space between the hot dogs to let the steam circulate. Turn the machine on and set the temperature to high until steam is generated.

3. Cook hot dogs on a rotisserie cooker with buns in a warming basket. Add water to the water pan to keep the buns soft. Flip the toggle switch to the "on" position and broil the hot dogs on the rotisserie set at the highest temperature for about 10 to 15 minutes.
