How to Make an Easter Chick Centerpiece

An Easter chick centerpiece will make an adorable addition for your Easter table. This great craft project takes 1 hour or less from start to finish. Don't count all your eggs before they are hatched, but put all your chicks in this basket for a great Easter centerpiece.

Instructions

1. Cut a hole in the bottom of the basket using sharp scissors. Make the hole large enough for a child's hand to fit through.

2. Push the glove through the hole in the bottom of the basket. Leave the cuff of the glove hanging through the hole in the bottom.

3. Glue the cuff to the bottom of the basket using craft glue. Hold the cuff in place until the glue is sticky enough to keep it set.

4. Bend the thumb of the glove into the basket. Glue the thumb down so that it is not visible.

5. Cut 4 small triangles from the orange felt for the beaks. Cut 4 small combs from the yellow felt for the head feathers.

6. Curve the beaks just slightly, and attach them to the gloves with craft glue. Attach the combs to the tips of the glove fingers with glue. Glue the googly eyes just above the beaks.

7. Fill the basket with bunches of Easter grass surrounding the glove.

Tips & Warnings

• Have an adult use hot glue to secure the pieces of the chicks.
• Put small plastic eggs or jelly beans around the base of the chicks in the grass.
