Valentine's day makes the heart of every child beat double time. Make Valentine's day more exciting by helping your child create Valentines at home. Let your car enthusiast make these clever car Valentines that are sure to rev the heart of its recipients.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Red card stock
  • Black craft paint
  • Black fine tipped marker
  • Toy car
  • Paper plate
  • Newspaper
  • Scissors
  • Double-stick tape
  • Tacky glue
Step1
Set up a work space for your child, and cover it in newspaper. Help your child divide a piece of red cardstock into 4 sections with a pencil and ruler.
Step2
Pour the paint onto a paper plate. Drive the car wheels through the paint several times to coat the wheels.
Step3
Roll the car over the card stock to make tire marks on the cards. Leave space on each sections for writing a special message.
Step4
Set the card stock aside to dry. Cut the paper into four cards. Help your child write a Valentine message on each card.
Step5
Attach a chocolate car to each card. Use double-stick tape or tacky glue to affix the chocolates.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use a rotary cutter to cut the card stock into individual cards.
  • Write messages such as "I never tire of you," "Valentine, you are a wheely good friend" and "Valentine, you drive me wild."
  • Do not attach the chocolate cars with hot glue because the chocolate will melt.
