How to Use the Etsy Colors Application to Find Items

There is so much to find on Etsy that it's impossible to look at it all. A great way to find new items on Etsy is by using the Colors application. This allow you to search through a rainbow of colors, and the application pulls up items on Etsy that match that color. It's a great way to randomly search through Etsy to see what you can come up with. Read on to learn how to use the Etsy Colors applicaton to find items.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Log on to your Etsy account.

  2. Step 2

    Go to the Etsy homepage.

  3. Step 3

    Click on the "Colors" link. This is located on the left hand side of the Etsy homepage under ways to shop.

  4. Step 4

    Run your cursor over the rainbow dots. This small dots on the page will become bigger and change colors as you move over a different area of the color scheme.

  5. Step 5

    Click on a color. This will bring up any items that match this specific color. One item or more may come up at any time.

  6. Step 6

    Click on the thumbnail picture of an item. This creates a bigger box for the item with a larger photo, the name of the item, the price, the seller and a short exert of the description of the item.

  7. Step 7

    Click on the button title "More" at the bottom of the new box. This opens another window where you can view the item's listing page for more information.

  8. Step 8

    Click on the photo again. This makes the item a thumbnail again so that you can move on to other items or other colors.

  9. Step 9

    To clear the board, click and hold on to the thumbnail photo. Move the item, and release it to move it. If you want to move the item listing completely off of the board, click and hold the thumbnail and flip the listing and release it. It is much like flipping a card across a room.

Tips & Warnings
  • To find a variety of items quickly, run your mouse over the rainbow dot area and click randomly. This will bring up a lot of items to view that you may not find otherwise.
