How to Play Sock Grab at a Tween Sleepover

Finding games to play at tween sleepovers doesn't have to be complicated. There are many games you can play that require little to no set-up and props. One of these is the Sock Grab game. Instruct the participants to get pairs of socks from their sleepover bags and begin the fun. Read on to learn how to play the Sock Grab game. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

      Gather the children that are to participate in the Sock Grab game into a group.

      Instruct them to retrieve a clean pair of socks from their sleepover bags and to return to you when they have the socks.

      Tell the children to put their socks halfway on. Half the sock should be hanging over their toes but the sock should remain firmly on their ankles.

      Verify that all the participants have their socks on in a similar manner so that no one child has an unfair advantage over another during the Sock Grab game.

      Advise participants to get down on their hands and knees on the floor. Tell them to remain motionless until they hear music playing.

      Turn on some upbeat music to signal the start of the Sock Grab game and to get the children excited about winning.

      Have the children crawl around on their hands and knees and instruct them to try and grab the socks from each other's feet. Tell them to try to collect as many socks as they can but to protect the ones on their own feet.

      Determine the winner of the Sock Grab by finding the last child with one or two socks still on his feet.

      Award a prize to the winner.
