How to Play Dress Up at a Tween Sleepover

Playing dress up is a beloved pastime of little girls everywhere. If you are hosting a sleepover for tweens and have run out of entertaining ideas, consider allowing your guests to play dress up for prizes. Simply gather some old, mismatched clothes and begin the fun. Read on to learn how to play dress up at a tween sleepover.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Pick a room in your home to act as a dressing room.

  2. Step 2

    Gather unique, interesting and old clothes. Put the clothes into the dressing room.

  3. Step 3

    Find three prizes for the first, second and third place contestants. The three prizes can be anything you would like, but they should increase in value or uniqueness.

  4. Step 4

    Appoint three people as judges. You can choose some of the children who are sleeping over or you can find impartial judges like older siblings.

  5. Step 5

    Turn on fun, energetic music.

  6. Step 6

    Order the children to play dress Uup. The order of the participants can be random, but only one person will be allowed to dress up at a time.

  7. Step 7

    Usher the first participant into the dressing room. Tell the participant that they have a minute and a half to create the wackiest outfit they can out of the clothes in the dressing room.

  8. Step 8

    Knock on the dressing room door after a minute and a half. Let the participant out of the room and allow her to model her outfit by walking or dancing towards the judges' table as if she were on a runway.

  9. Step 9

    Have the judges rank her outfit using a 1 to 5 numerical system. Be sure to tell the judges to write her name next to her score.

  10. Step 10

    Repeat until all participants have had a turn.

  11. Step 11

    Use a calculator to tally the judges' scores on a piece of paper. Determine the three highest scores.

  12. Step 12

    Announce the winners after everyone has been allowed to dress up. Start from third place and award the prizes.
