TiVo is a digital video recorder (DVR) that allows you to record your favorite TV shows without using videotape. The show is recorded on a hard drive. You will never miss a favorite show again if you use the TiVo Season Pass feature to record it. Read on to learn how to set up a season pass on TiVo.

From Quick Guide: Using TiVo
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Search for the title of your show by choosing "Find Programs" from the main screen, then "Search Title." Using the remote, type in the name of the program you want to record.

  2. Step 2

Select the program by highlighting it from the program list and pressing "Select" on the TiVo remote. Within the program's information window, select "Get Season Pass."

  3. Step 3

Change the priority of the program on the Season Pass list by selecting "Find Programs" on the main screen, then "Season Pass Manager." The program you just added will be last on the list.

  4. Step 4

Highlight the program title using the remote, then move the cursor to the right to highlight the arrow. Use the remote's arrow keys to move the program up or down the list. When the program has the priority placement you want, move the cursor back to the left to highlight the title. Move it back once more to the left to save the changes.

Tips & Warnings
  • You should set the priority of a program you wish to record in order to make sure it's not accidentally skipped. For example, another program on your list may have a second airing on the same night. If that program has a higher priority on your list, then it will be recorded instead of the other one. To make sure your favorite programs have priority, make sure they are in the top ten of the Season Pass list.
