The Samsung 500 is held at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. The NASCAR Nextel Cup race is unique because it had 12 different winners in the first 12 races. No other NASCAR track has had a streak last that long. Past winners include Greg Biffle, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Mark Martin and Jeff Burton. See the following tips to attend the Samsung 500.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Buy individual or group tickets. There are several seating options for the Samsung 500, including Pitside Lower and Upper Rows and Backstretch Upper and Lower Rows. Season passes are also available, starting at about $270. Purchase tickets through the Texas Motor Speedway website or call (817) 215-8500.
Step2
Book accommodations if needed. There are also travel packages available through the Texas Motor Speedway website. They work with Premiere Sports Travel and offer packages starting at under $300.
Step3
Consider camping. Making the track your home away from home for the weekend can add to your NASCAR experience. Texas Motor Speedway has five designated camping areas. Some cater to RVs and some to tents only.
Step4
Know the racetrack rules. It pays to be prepared. For instance, you can bring alcohol into the stands, but you're not allowed anything in a glass container.
Step5
Allow ample time to get there. If you're traveling the morning of the race, make sure to hit the road early. There will be thousands of other NASCAR fans arriving in the hour or so before the Samsung 500, so you want to make sure to avoid as much of that traffic as possible. The sooner you get to the Texas Motor Speedway, the sooner you can check out all the racing exhibits.
