Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Microsoft PowerPoint presentation software
  • Blank CD-R or CD-RW format compact disc
  • Writable CD drive
  1. Step 1

Open the Microsoft PowerPoint presentation. Locate the presentation on the hard drive and double click it.

  2. Step 2

Click on the "Office" button located in the top left corner of Microsoft PowerPoint. Next, choose "Publish" from the "Office" menu. Then, select "Package for CD" from the publish menu.

  3. Step 3

Choose the "Options" button from the "Package for CD" dialog box. Determine which package type to use. The "Viewer Package" option includes the PowerPoint viewer. This option is good when the viewer of the CD does not have PowerPoint installed.

  4. Step 4

Check the "Embedded Truetype Fonts" box on the options menu. This makes sure the presentation fonts are readable on other computers. In addition, if there are any external files, like a narration audio file, click on the "Linked files" box. When finished click "OK."

  5. Step 5

Select the "Copy to Folder" option to make a back-up copy on the drive.

  6. Step 6

Make sure your computer has a writable compact disk drive installed. Also, make certain a formatted and blank compact disc is present in the writable drive.

  7. Step 7

Copy the presentation to the compact disk. In the "Package for CD" dialog box select the "Copy to CD" button.

  8. Step 8

Test the compact disc on another computer to make certain that it is working properly.
