How to Fix a Hair Part

Many people have difficulty deciding on how to part their hair. They can't decide whether to comb it to fall a certain way or just leave it as is. If you are unhappy with your hair part, then you should know that you have several ways to fix it to make way for a new and improved hairstyle.

1. Consider your nose. The way that your nose angles should help you decide on how to part your hair. If your nose is angled towards one side of your face, part your hair to the opposite side for a well balanced look.

2. Work product through your hair. As you are parting your hair, you should use gel or pomade in order to keep the part in place.

3. Use the natural part for a traditional style. If you want an easy and no fuss style, then part your hair where your hair naturally grows from.

4. Get more body by changing your hair part. You can sweep your hair over to the right or left and part it at your chosen side. This creates more volume at the top of your head.

5. Add pizazz to your hair part by making a zigzag pattern. To do this, use a comb to work sections of your hair in opposite directions at the center part of your hair.

Tips & Warnings

• If you have a very round face shape, a center part can make your face appear longer than it actually is.

• A side part will work best for people that have a large forehead. A center part will make their features too prominent.
