1
Find a metal spoon. The lighter it is, the better. Also, the tip of the spoon should have a slight curve-not too flat, not too deep. Cheap cafeteria soup spoons work well because of their weight and shape.
-
2
Rub the bowl of the spoon with your thumb. Yes, you will be undoing all the effort someone put into polishing it, but the oils from your fingers will help hold the spoon in place.

-
3
Breathe on the spoon, like you are about to polish it. Don't polish it, though. Just breathe so it fogs up, like when you breathe on a window.
-
4
Cover the tip of your nose lightly with the bowl of the spoon. Don't press it to your nose. Hold the spoon high on the handle.
-
5
Slide the spoon, very slowly and very gently, until the very tip of the spoon covers the very tip of your nose. Let the weight of the spoon pull it down, rather than applying force of your own. Continue to hold the spoon very delicately in place.
-
6
Let go of the spoon very gently, so as not to move it. If you've created enough friction between the tip of your nose and the spoon, the spoon will remain in place and continue dangling precariously from your nose. If not, repeat the process or try another spoon.
