How to Visit Georgia

Georgia has plenty to offer its visitors all year round. You can find recreational activities like golf, rafting and hiking or, if you prefer the city, plenty of fine dining and shopping in areas throughout the state. 1. Decide on the area that you wish to visit. If you are looking for a more rustic vacation, you may want to reserve a stay at a campground in the northern and western regions. For a city vacation, check out the hotels in Atlanta.
2. Go to Stone Mountain Park. This is one of Georgia's most-visited attractions. It covers more than 3,000 acres and features paddleboats, hiking, miniature golf and more.
3. Enjoy the amusement parks. Bring the kids to Wild Adventures, a thrill park and zoo, or Six Flags Over Georgia, a roller coaster park located outside of Atlanta.
4. Travel along the Georgia Wine Highway. This corridor of wineries can be visited for touring and tasting. The highway is located in the northeast mountain section of the state.
5. Check out the World of Coca Cola. If you are a fan of the soft drink, then you don't want to miss this Atlanta attraction. Taste over 70 flavors of Coke products and mix your own blend. The museum also houses over 1,000 Coca Cola-related artifacts.
6. Take advantage of the fine dining that can be found in Georgia. The historic and metro regions have some of the best fine dining establishments in the state. Try the Woodbridge Inn in Jasper or Cargo Portside in Brunswick.
