How to Create a Definition List in Dreamweaver
If you would like to include definitions on your Dreamweaver website, Dreamweaver will automatically format this option for you. By placing an automatic indent on the second line, you have no need to be concerned with setting tabs or remembering your formatting options that need to be applied each time you are ready to type a new definition. Follow the steps below to create a definition list for your website.

Start Dreamweaver and open an existing file that you would like to add a definition list to or create a new document by clicking "HTML" text link under the "New" section on the Dreamweaver introduction splash screen.

Click in your document to place the cursor where you would like to begin your definition list.

Choose the "Text" menu, point to the "List" option and click on "Definition List" to apply the automatic definition formatting.

Use your keyboard to type the word you would like to use as the first definition term in your list.

Press the enter key on your keyboard to move down to the next line on your definition list. Dreamweaver will automatically indent the line before you start typing again.

Type the definition of the word on the line above.

Press the enter key and continue in the same manner to type all of the definitions that you would like to be included in your definition list.

Tips & Warnings
If you would like to end the definition list, choose the "Text" menu, point to "List" and click on the "None" option at any time.
