Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003 allows a web page designer to add a browser to the list of available browsers inside the program for previewing a page before making it live. This function gives the designer the opportunity to preview a page without being forced to open a browser and navigate to where the page is stored on the computer to view. Here's how to edit the browser list in FrontPage 2003.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Click on Start in the lower left-hand corner of the desktop screen. Then select All Programs, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003.
Step2
Choose File on the menu bar and move the cursor down to Preview in Browser in the drop-down menu.
Step3
Select Edit Browser List from the sub-menu that opens. Click on the Add button if the browser list is incomplete and follow the directions to add the new browser to the list.
Step4
Hit OK at the bottom of the Edit Browser List form to return to Microsoft FrontPage 2003.

Tips & Warnings

  • New browsers are not always automatically added to the list of browsers in Microsoft FrontPage 2003 when they are installed on a computer. To keep the list up-to-date, check and make sure that all browsers installed on the computer are in the list in Microsoft FrontPage 2003. If you don't plan to use the function, it is not necessary to add every browser on the computer, however.
