How to Visit Arizona

Arizona has many sights and attractions that appeal to visitors all around the globe. Arizona is the perfect family vacation spot and can be enjoyed almost any time of year. You will want to stay for at least a week to see all that the state has to offer.

1. Pick the area of Arizona that you wish to visit. Since Arizona is such a large state, you need to narrow down the area that you plan to stay at during your trip. Northern and Central Arizona are typically the more popular destinations.
2. Make reservations at one of the beautiful spas or resorts in Arizona. Sedona has the Hilton Sedona Resort and Spa as well as the Radisson Poco Diablo Resort. Both hotels have spa facilities, golf on site, pools and restaurants.
3. See the Grand Canyon. If you are visiting Arizona, then this should definitely be on your itinerary. The Grand Canyon is a breathtaking sight that can be enjoyed in several ways. You can ride down into it by mule or simply enjoy the view from the new glass bottom floor.
4. Take a driving tour. While driving through the state, you can see parks and monuments that are located all over the state. Also, there are over 20 Native American reservations that can be toured.
5. Enjoy outlet shopping in Phoenix. If you love to hit the outlets, then you need to make time to shop during your trip. Nordstrom Last Chance and Outlets at Anthem are two favorites to check out.

Tips & Warnings

• It is not recommended that you visit Arizona during the peak months of summer. The temperatures are known to rise over 100 degrees at this time of year.
• If you plan to visit any of the tribal areas of Arizona, you will want to become familiar with the rules of the reservations. Photos and video recording are typically not allowed and visitors are expected to act in a respectful manner to the residents.
