Try out products for major companies--it's fun, educational and profitable! You can try electronics for HP and give your opinion on how they work. Apple tests their products through Intertek. There are consumer product testers that receive samples and report back their opinions. This helps to work out issues before the product hits the market.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Run an Internet search for product testing. See what you find. You will probably get several ideas from this one action. You should be able to choose between small foods items on one end, all the way up to large electronic products.
Step2
Locate the company you want to test a product for. If they have advertised their product testing on the website, they will have a link for further information. Click this link.
Step3
Read all of the information on the product testing program. Choose the product you want to test for the company if you have that opportunity.
Step4
Report your opinion back to the company. This will help them as they proceed with research and development of the product.
Step5
Wait for confirmation that you are a third party evaluator.
Step6
Update your profile online with companies you are interested in (assuming they have regular testing of products). More than one testing company could call you.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some sites will compensate the tester with a new version of the product they were testing when research and development is finished.
  • Some product testing offers for merchandise are actually scams. Never pay money for the opportunity to be on a list or test a product.
