How to Undress

Time is tight today. With the kids running from school, to practice, to club activities, to getting back home just in time to hop in the shower, eat something and do their homework, things like learning how to undress effectively can really add precious moments to an already hectic day. Especially if you have multiple changes throughout the day. Here are some time saving tips on how to undress next time you are racing through your bedroom from one activity to another.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Lose the shoes. Man, woman, child or alien, it doesn't matter. The shoes must be removed first. If you can simply slide out of them without untying or unfastening the laces, you'll save your self a little time. However, if they are a pair of nice shoes, take the time to untie them properly. That way they will last longer.
Step2
Take off the top next. Truthfully, this is a matter of preference, but there is a method to the madness if you are a guy. If you need to have a quick shave, then removing your shirt and then shaving will save you some time if you really don't need a fresh pair of pants.
Step3
Slide off the slacks, or skirt or whatever bottom piece you are wearing. Remember that because people usually sweat less on the lower half of their body, you can usually get multiple wears out of a pair of pants versus a shirt.
Step4
Drop your drawers, otherwise known as underwear. This also includes your socks. These are the last pieces to go because they are not only the last layer, but again if you need to throw something else on quickly, the color scheme of your underwear doesn't usually go with the rest of your wardrobe. (Although skip the red bras with the white top over it. That just makes you look color blind.)
Step5
Exercise while undressing. While you probably won't get a full amount of cardio in, strip classes, or strip tease classes have become all the rage. Don't be afraid to do a little routine for yourself if you have the time. It will get the blood flowing and break up the monotony of the day.
Step6
Be in the bathroom instead of the bedroom. By undressing in the bathroom, you can hop into the shower in an instant. Leave the clothes on the floor for later if you are really in a rush. The bottom line, the closer you are to your hamper, the better.
Step7
Lay your clothes nicely upon removal. Even if you are in a mad dash, take the time to lay your clothes out after removing. This will make your life so much easier when you hang them back in your bedroom closet later, as if they get all wrinkled, you'll have plenty of ironing to do.

Tips & Warnings

  • If your kids are young and you are in a hurry to change them, worry about them first rather than simultaneously trying to change the two of you at once.
  • Separate your clothes into towels, lights, darks and whites right when you undress. By having a hamper for each, you will make doing the wash much easier.
