Hit and Run is a casino game from Shuffle Master, the company that brought Three Card Poker to casinos. The strategy is simple, and the first hit of the game is just plain luck. If you see a Hit and Run game at a casino, just follow these steps to play.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Place your bet. Check to make certain that you're within table minimums.

  2. Step 2

Receive two rounds of cards. Everyone will receive two in the round face up. The dealer does not get a card in the second round and has only one card face up.

  3. Step 3

Lose if the second card is lower in rank than the first. For example, if your first card is a King, you would lose if the second is a Queen or any lower card. Continue or stand. If you continue and take another card, then it will have to be higher than the previous. If you stand, you take no more cards and either the dealer or next player starts their turn. If at any time your next card is higher, you lose and are out of that hand. You can stand after any card.

  4. Step 4

Watch the dealer as she takes a second card, if you're still in the hand. If the card is higher than her first card, then she must take more cards than you in order for you to lose. If it is lower, you win.

  5. Step 5

Play the side bet on the cards you drew. If you have a poker hand, you may get up to 30 to 1 odds on the bet. If you have drawn 5 times or have a 5 card poker hand, you potentially could receive as high as a 500 to 1 return. You would have to have a royal flush to do that.

Tips & Warnings
  • When playing a game for the first time, it's always best to bet minimum until you fully understand it.
