If you study, you can do well on a college management exam. After all, there's a lot of information you'll need to know in order to pass your test. Whether you're taking a college course or you're preparing for a CLEP test, you can follow these steps to help you study for your management exam.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Figure out what kind of test you will be taking. If you plan to take a CLEP Principles of Management exam, you will only need to complete multiple choice questions. If you take a college course exam, you might have to write essays and answer true/false questions. Know what you're in for before test day.

  2. Step 2

Narrow down the topics you need to study. Read through a list of the topics covered on the test, and think about whether you think you know enough on that topic to pass your management exam. Your syllabus will have a list of topics on it. A list of topics covered on the CLEP Principles of Management exam is on the College Board website.

  3. Step 3

Get a good study guide. Some college professors have study sessions before the exam. Make sure you go to one. Or, you can buy a study guide from a book store. The College Board puts out a CLEP Study Guide that gets you ready for the test. Cliffs Notes also puts out a study guide for Principles of Management.

  4. Step 4

Try some practice questions. Use old class quizzes to get ideas about what kind of questions your professor might ask. Ask your college professor if you could get sample questions from last year's exams. If you are taking the CLEP Principles of Management exam, you can find practice questions in the study guide.

  5. Step 5

Get a good reference book. College textbooks, such as "Principles of Management" by Charles W.L. Hill, will help allow you to look up topics you need more help on. Or, if you learn well by reading, you can make reading your textbook a part of your study schedule.
