Aggravation is a classic board game which can easily be played online. The rules to Aggravation are the same online as in the board game. In Aggravation, the goal is for each player to move their marbles around the star shaped game board. Aggravation results when opponents block one another's progress. Read on to learn more.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find several Java-based games online for free. There are subscription websites for classic board games for the more serious game players. These sites have better gaming interfaces and are more reliable (see Resources).

  2. Step 2

Start playing Aggravation online by reviewing the rules of the game. The rules are simple to learn but difficult to master. Frustrating an opponent's march around the board is the basic strategy. Taking shortcuts is risky as it exposes a player to having their marble landed on and sent back to home base.

  3. Step 3

Move around the board cautiously at first to try and feel out the opposition. Like boxers in the first round, Aggravation players wait to see who will be the most aggressive or the largest risk taker. Once players have had their marbles sent back to the start a few times, they become more forceful.

  4. Step 4

Try to move all the game pieces onto the next section of the game board as quickly as possible. Taking the long way around the board is the safest gambit, but also the most time consuming. The electronic dice rolls add up quickly when your opponents are racing around the top of the game board and taking shortcuts successfully.

  5. Step 5

Enhance online play with chat interfaces. Playing online against an opponent is not as satisfying as face-to-face play, but it can be a lot of fun. Some game sites allow an interactive chat interface which adds to the immediacy of the game.
