Step 1
Determine where the visitations will take place. Places like the father's home, another family member's home or the park are all good choices.
-
Step 2
Set a consistent time and place to pick the kids up. For example, pick the kids up after soccer practice every Friday.
-
Step 3
Make sure there is also consistency in the time that they go back to their primary residence. If the agreement is that they are to be home by six on Sunday, make every effort to have them home at that time.
-
Step 4
Discuss the schedule around any school holidays as well as major holidays ahead of time. In doing this no questions should arise as to where the children will be spending their time off from school.
-
Step 5
Plan for the children to spend at least one uninterrupted week with each parent during the year. This can be an excellent time for the kids and dad to go camping and spend some extra time together.

on 11/13/2008 Are there any ways I can set up visitation with my my daughters mother without having to go to court? Any standard agreements that I can get to move forward in this?
Thank you,
C
