The National Football League (NFL) now allows viewers the capability to get wireless updates about certain games and scores. If you are a Colts fan but won't be near a television, you still can get the results of their games with the new NFL wireless plan. The best feature is you can subscribe to NFL Wireless with a number of different phone networks.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
First you must determine who controls your phone network. The Sprint network and Motorola phones have test systems for NFL Wireless, but you should be able to get it from pretty much any phone and even some laptops.
Step2
Make sure that you have the right phone. You will need a web-enabled phone to get NFL Wireless. While most phones are web-enabled now, some of the older models are not. Make sure that you can get the Internet on your phone. If you are unsure, check online for your phone model number for the listing of features.
Step3
Know what you want. You can subscribe to get information on specific teams. If the Bengals are your favorites, then you may only want to get them. You may want to know how everyone is doing, though, and you can with NFL Wireless. Opt to get scores, highlights and real-time updates on your favorite team or all of them.
Step4
Send a text message. The NFL system is set up on contracts with certain providers. Motorola users simply send the text message "wap" to NFL.com. Check the exact text message you need to send for your phone. Make sure that you get a confirmation for the wireless subscription. You must also check your phone contract regarding the cost of using such services. Even if a site or company offers a service for free, your wireless company may charge you for minutes or messages.
Step5
Consider your laptop as well. Some stadiums, such as Cardinals Stadium just outside Phoenix, Arizona, have wireless capabilities inside the stadium. You can take your laptop with you and get wireless updates for other games while you watch the Cardinals.
