Among kids birthday party themes, the Hannah Montana party is quickly becoming a favorite. Miley Cyrus's alter ego is a hit with young children and preteens alike. What better choice is there for themed party fun? With a little preparation, you can throw a memorable Hannah Montana party, too. Read on to learn more.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Get party supplies. Major retailers carry party hats, cups, plates, balloons and more with a Hannah Montana theme. If you don't have a major retailer close by, you can order Hannah Montana party supplies online. (See our Resources section).
Step2
Decorate with a concert theme. Put up Hannah balloons and streamers. Go to a second-hand store and purchase cheap, used CDs. Hang them from the ceiling to add sparkle. Set up a stage area complete with microphone. (If you don't have a real one, a play microphone from the local dollar store will do.) Put chairs around the stage for the audience, and strategically place flashlights for special concert lighting.
Step3
Play Miley Cyrus music. No Hannah Montana party would be complete without a karaoke sing-a-long. If you don't own a karaoke machine, you can either rent one or simply allow the kids to sing to CDs as they strut their stuff in the stage area. Be sure to give out a special prize to everyone brave enough to sing in front of the crowd. Hannah Montana CD singles are an excellent gift for the brave at heart. (You can quietly tuck them into the goodie bags of the less brave guests before they leave the party).
Step4
Serve Hannah Montana cake. Most bakeries can accommodate such a request. If you're trying to keep expenses down, make your own microphone or iPod shaped cake with the HM logo added in frosting.
Step5
Give out Hannah goodie bags. Bags with Hannah's photo can be purchased in the Hannah Montana party supplies section of major retailers or online. Fill these bags with must-have trinkets like lip gloss, hair accessories and sugarless gum.

Tips & Warnings

  • Print song lyrics off the Internet. Give them to party guests during the singing portion of the event.
  • For added fun, have family members dress as Robby Ray, Jackson and Lilly and the guest of honor as Hannah herself. Ask guests to come as their favorite Hannah Montana character as well and you'll have a combination birthday and costume party. It's the best of both worlds.
