Step1
Decide when you want to go on your babymoon. It is a good idea to go with plenty of time before your due date, but not too early in your pregnancy, as this is your last chance to reconnect as a couple before the baby is born. A great time to go in in between the 6th and 8th month of pregnancy. Remember holidays or other heavy travel times when you are planning on a date, in order to keep the cost of your trip as low and stress-free as possible.
Step2
Choose a destination. If you are taking your children, you are definitely going to want it to be a family friendly destination. If you are going during your last 10 weeks of pregnancy, you may want to consider a vacation within the country, as opposed to an international vacation, just in case you go into labor. Ask your doctor if you plan on flying. You should remain close to your delivering hopital your last four weeks of pregnancy.
Step3
Schedule a sitter for your other children, if you don't plan on taking them with you on your babymoon. If close relatives live in the area, they would likely be your first option since your children will be staying overnight, likely for several nights in a row. If they are older, they may also be able to stay with a friend for a few days.
Step4
Go and have fun. Make sure you use this time to be with your significant other as much as possible, as you may not get much of a chance for the first few months of your new baby's life. If you take other children, it is a perfect time for them to get all your attention before the new baby arrives to share your time.
