Step 1
Brainstorm your event. Imagine the different things you see at a carnival. Think of the food, entertainment, rides, games and decor that surround you at the local carnival. Write down everything you can come up with, and then narrow your choices to create your theme.
-
Step 2
Determine your age group. For young children, good game choices may consist of bean bag or ball tosses, darts and floating duck games. Prizes could include bubbles, rings, tattoos and stickers. Older children and adults may appreciate a good old-fashioned dunk tank, picture booths, bobbing for apples, or balloon or egg tosses.
-
Step 3
Visit your local party store or check online to purchase your carnival supplies, trinkets and prizes. Party stores have many different options available and carry a surplus of balloons, tickets, cotton candy, candy apples, face paint and popcorn.
-
Step 4
Check with local vendors to see if you can rent hot dog, popcorn and cotton candy machines or have them cater the stands for you.
-
Step 5
Book a clown. Having clowns attend your carnival-themed party would be a big hit with children and adults alike.
-
Step 6
Rent a bounce house. Children love them, and they can make any event fun.
