Instructions

    • 1

Miter cut the edges of the 1-by-2 inch boards so the corners fit together at 90-degree angles.

    • 2

Lay the 1-by-8 inch board on a flat surface. Place the 1-by-2 inch boards around the top of the 1-by-8 inch board, flush with the edges. Attach the 1-by-2 inch boards to the 1-by-8 inch board with the wood screws. This is the base of your chandelier.

    • 3

Cut the wire from each light 2 inches from the bulb with a rotary tool. This exposes the wire underneath the metal. Cut the wire 2 inches from the end of the metal and strip the plastic from the wire 1 inch from the end. The KRYSSBO model pendent lamps come with small transformers. If your model does not, you need to purchase them at a hardware store.

    • 4

Attach the speaker wire to the end of the bulb wire. Measure the length that you want like the lights to hang and then add 6 inches to that length for the total length of the speaker wire. The lights need to hang at different lengths. Make it random or put them in a specific design; it's your choice.

    • 5

Drill holes in the 1-by-8 inch board. Drill the first hole 2 inches from the end and then every 3 inches after that.

    • 6

Place the 1-by-8-inch board on two saw horses or on the back of two chairs so it is elevated off of the ground. Feed the speaker wire from the bottom to the top of each hole. Place electrical tape on the wire to temporally hold it in place.

    • 7

Mount the transformers onto the back of the base in between each pair of lights. Attach the speaker wires to the wires on the transformers. The red wires on the transformers are for connecting to the house's wiring.

    • 8

Attach another speaker wire to the red wires of the transformers to connect to the house's wiring. Cover any exposed wire with electrical tape. Attach the speaker wire connected to the red transformer wires to the house wiring in the ceiling. Use long wood screws to attach the chandelier to the ceiling.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not work with exposed house wiring without flipping the breaker or disconnecting the fuse for that area of the house.
