Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Visit the Absolute Tours website. Here you can find many options for walking tours in Budapest. Click on "Regularly Scheduled Tours" in the sidebar to view the details of several of their most popular walking tours.

  2. Step 2

Select the "Absolute Walk" for the most complete overview of the city of Budapest. You can visit the top destinations including Buda Castle, City Park and Inner Pest.

  3. Step 3

Choose the day you will take the walking tour. In high season, April through October, these tours operated twice a day at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. In low season, they operate once a day at 10:30 a.m. Each tour lasts 3 1/2 hours.

  4. Step 4

Book your tour online by clicking on "Online Booking." You can pay by credit card and receive a confirmation via email. If you choose, you can pay cash on the day of your walking tour.

  5. Step 5

Meet at Deak Square in front of the steps of the church five minutes before tour time. All three metro lines cross each other at Deak Square, so it's very easy to locate.

  6. Step 6

Listen to the guide as he takes you through several highlights of Budapest. You can tour Heroes Square and City Park, see the Royal Palace and Fisherman's Bastion and take in many sights in Inner Pest.

  7. Step 7

Consider one of the other tour options from Absolute Tours. They offers specialty tours, including a Pub Crawl Tour, which takes you to some of the best bars in Budapest, and the Gastro Food and Wine Tour, where you can enjoy the food and drinks from some of the city's best eateries.
